It is only the mismanagement of anger that causes problems. When it becomes out of control it can have many negative consequences;  including damaging relationships, causing problems at work, domestic abuse, road rage, and violence. It also generally affects the overall quality of your life (and often the lives of others around you).

When you become angry, your heart rate and blood pressure increase as chemicals such as adrenalin are pumped through your body. Releasing this tension (often verbally or physically) may accompany these physical changes. However, you may not release this tension and suppress your anger. This usually leads to a build-up of emotions causing you to ‘explode’ when it all becomes too much.
